New ACT Retake Opportunity Available for Seniors
Published August 10, 2016
There’s good news for Williamson County seniors who want to improve their ACT scores. This week, the Tennessee Department of Education announced the launch of a program that provides eligible twelfth graders the chance to retake the ACT for free.
To be eligible, the senior must be a public school student who took the ACT as a junior. Students who are interested will be issued a voucher or fee waiver at their school to cover the basic costs of registering for the Saturday, October 22, national ACT test date. Students using a voucher who are interested in the writing test may add it for an additional fee of $17.
Any student, including those eligible for the retake opportunity, who wants to participate in the October 22 test date should register online by September 16 to avoid late fees. Online registration information for the ACT can be found here.
