Help Cut Down on Traffic with Mobility Week

Join Williamson County Schools as it does its part to cut down on traffic for Mobility Week.
Presented by Nissan and hosted by Williamson, Inc., Mobility Week is a county-wide initiative focused on exploring practical ways that individuals, commuters, corporations, schools and small businesses in Williamson County can work together as a community to reduce traffic on our roadways. Mobility Week will kick off Monday, September 12 with School Day.
Here are a few ways parents and students can get involved:
- Students can walk, bike or ride the bus to and from school.
- Parents may want to organize a “school pool” program to carpool with other parents in the neighborhood.
- High school students can enter the Mobility Week PSA video contest.
“We have asked WCS TV and Film students to get involved by creating Public Service Announcements that will encourage WCS students to analyze the general public’s understanding of traffic issues and inform the community,” said WCS Career Counselor Rebecca Collins. “The winning PSA will be presented at the Williamson County Transportation Summit on Thursday, September 15.”
