Grassland Cheerleaders Give Back

With the holidays right around the corner, students all across the district are finding ways to give back to their community.
That includes the Grassland Middle School competition cheerleaders who are partnering with the United Way’s Warm Hearts/Full Tummies program to provide Thanksgiving meals to two local families.
The students make it a point to participate in at least one community outreach project per season. They say being part of programs like this make the holidays even more special.
“It makes us happy to know that we are giving to people in need who wouldn’t have all of this food for Thanksgiving if we didn’t help,” said GMS seventh grader Jessica Smylie.
