Franklin High School Teacher Chosen for Tennessee Educator Fellowship

A Franklin High School teacher is among a group of educators from across the state who’ve been chosen for the 2017-18 Tennessee Educator Fellowship.

Now in her eleventh year as an educator, Dr. Tunisha Hobson teaches marketing at Franklin High.

“Working in the field of education has been my life’s work,” she said. “Advocating on behalf of students and teachers through education policy has been a major life goal.”

This is the fourth year the State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE) has selected educators from every background for the fellowship. Since its beginning, the fellowship has helped almost 100 teachers add to the discussion about classroom policy.

Joined by 49 other educators, Hobson will work as a connection between her colleagues, community and policymakers to continue improving the quality of education in Tennessee.

“I am humbled and honored to be a selected SCORE Fellow representing our awesome county as we continue the work of preparing college and career ready students,” Hobson said.
