Four WCS Students Earn Perfect ACT Scores

Published June 19, 2017

Preparing for the ACT is hard, but four WCS high school students took the challenge in stride and aced the college readiness exam given in April.

Brentwood High rising seniors Brandon Hunyh and Coby Warkentin prepared for the ACT by taking some of the most difficult classes offered at BHS. Between the two of them, they took 17 Advanced Placement courses.

“They are incredibly hardworking students,” said BHS Principal Kevin Keidel. “Their preparation and work ethic have been rewarded with these perfect scores.”

Ravenwood High rising senior Clara Miller balanced both academics and soccer.

“Clara Miller is a go-getter,” said RHS counselor Tim Gillean. “She puts 100 percent into whatever she does, and a perfect score on the ACT just proves it.”

Maxwell Coil, a rising senior at Independence High, also earned a perfect 36 on April’s ACT.

“Indy Nation is so proud of Maxwell,” said IHS Principal Dr. Niki Patton. “Maxwell has a well-deserved reputation at Independence for being a dedicated, serious student who challenges himself academically. His years of hard work have led him to this special accomplishment.”
