Elementary World Language Program Registration Opening Soon
Published June 19, 2017
Registration for the Williamson County Schools Elementary World Language Program (EWLP) opens at the end of June.
EWLP is a 12-week program teaching Spanish or Chinese to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. It is offered at all elementary schools provided there are enough students who register. The goal is to teach communication and encourage the students to use the target language and explore different cultures.
Beginning on August 28 and continuing through November 13, one-hour classes will be offered before and after school. A maximum of 15 students will be in each class, although some classes may be canceled if not enough students register.
The program costs $100, and a discount is available to students who qualify for free/reduced lunches during the 2017-18 school year.
