Eight WCS HS Football Programs Playoff-Bound

Williamson County Schools athletic programs may be at an all-time high.

For the first time in WCS Sports Conference history, eight WCS football teams survived the regular season and are TSSAA playoff-bound.

Teams in Williamson County boasted a combined 51-9 record against non-conference opponents this season, and three WCS teams won region championships.

Centennial won Region 7-5A with with a 9-1 record with its only loss coming to in-conference foe Independence. Independence (Region 5-5A) and Fairview (Region 6-3A) both won their regions behind undefeated 10-0 records.

Six of eight WCS teams played well enough to earn a home game in the first round.

First round matchups for WCS teams are:

  • Fairview (10-0) vs. East Nashville (4-6)
  • Page (6-3) vs. Chattanooga Central (3-7)
  • Independence (10-0) vs. Gallatin (6-4)
  • Summit (7-3) at Cane Ridge (10-0)
  • Centennial (9-1) vs. Bolton (5-5)
  • Franklin (8-2) vs. Germantown (3-7)
  • Brentwood (6-4) vs. Kirby (4-6)
  • Ravenwood (5-5) at Houston (4-5)
