Drive Away Hunger Challenge Results

The results are in for this year’s high school Drive Away Hunger Challenge.

The competition, which aimed to collect food donation for the GraceWorks’ pantry, was a huge hit. Students collected approximately 46, 215 pounds of food which doubled last year’s total.

Fairview High School won the grand prize for the highest average weight, with just over 11 pounds per student, and Ravenwood High won the prize for total weight of food collected with 13,061 pounds.

Both schools will receive checks for $1,250, courtesy of Darrell Waltrip Automotive, along with the official Drive Away Hunger Challenge trophy.
