District Releases School Calendar Survey Results

The Williamson County School Board is expected to vote on a calendar for the 2017-18 school year at its Monday, November 21 meeting.

The district’s calendar committee developed three options for the Board to consider. Earlier this month, WCS parents and employees were asked to share their input through a survey. Parents of eighth graders in the Franklin Special School District were also asked to participate.

Those results, which are posted below, were shared with the Board at its November 10 work session. Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney plans to recommend Calendar A to the Board at its November 21 meeting.

Williamson County Composite Results:

13,837 total respondents

  • Calendar A: 37.15%
  • Calendar B: 44.71%
  • Calendar C: 18.14%

FSSD 8th Grade Parents Composite Results:

119 total respondents

  • Calendar A: 23.36%
  • Calendar B: 57.94%
  • Calendar C: 18.69%
