A new elementary school will open in Brentwood for the 2018-19 school year. The Williamson County Commission approved funding for the construction of the school off Split Log Road at its March 13 meeting.
In addition, the Commission gave the Columbia State Community College building on Claude Yates Drive to the district. The group also approved funding to begin renovations at the site, which will hold 300 Franklin High students beginning with the 2017-18 school year.
Lastly, the Commission approved expansions to Scales Elementary and College Grove Elementary but deferred taking action on other school building projects until a later time.
