Choir Ensembles Advance to State Choral Festival
Published March 30, 2017
Multiple WCS choral ensembles advanced to next month’s state festival after receiving high honors at the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association (MTVA) Choral Festival in March.
The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) State High School Choral Festival is open to high school choirs who have received a superior rating at their regional adjudication festival. At the state festival, each choir will perform three selections at the discretion of the director. This year’s festival is April 25-28.
The MTVA Festival is a division of the Tennessee Music Educators Association and the National Association for Music Educators.
All of the WCS choirs that participated received superior ratings in both their performances and in sight-reading, making them eligible to compete at the State Choral Festival.
