Bullying: What it is and what it isn’t

Published March 2, 2017

Williamson County Schools and the Franklin Special School District would like to invite parents, students and staff to join us Tuesday, March 14 for a panel discussion about bullying.

Bullying: What it is and What it isn’t will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church in Franklin.

Panelists will include Dennis Fetting from the Department of Homeland Security, STARS CEO Roger Dinwiddie, Summit High School Principal Sarah Lamb and Poplar Grove Middle School Principal Chris Treadway.

Rather than have a lecture on the subject, the goal of this meeting is to start a discussion about bullying and how it is dealt with in schools. Common language will also be defined so that communication between parents, students and educators can be more effective.

St. Philip Catholic Church is located at 113 2nd Ave. S. in Downtown Franklin. Parking will be available in the Second Avenue South parking garage.
