ALERT: TN Promise Scholarship Scam

Williamson County Schools has an important warning to pass along to parents and students regarding a possible scam.

There are reports that a number of students and/or parents have received phone calls from someone claiming to be associated with the TN Promise Scholarship. This person offers to provide assistance with completion of the application once credit card information is provided.

According to the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation, under no circumstances will TSAC or their partnering organizations request credit card information in order to assist a student/parent with completion of the TN Promise application.

If a parent or student receives any communication requesting credit card information, he/she should forward any copy of the information to James Snider at james.snider@tn.gov or alert him at 615-532-3503.
