The Academic All-Star award is given to students who exhibit a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence in the classroom. Each Academic All-Star is chosen by his or her principal and receives a framed certificate, free food from Chick-fil-A and Sonic Drive-In and a free gift courtesy of Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More in Franklin.
Nolensville High School is proud to announce that freshman Hope Ciampa has been selected as the first Academic All-Star award winner in school history.
Administrators say Hope earned the honor by always trying her best and never giving up no matter the challenge
“Hope is one of the most diligent students we have at Nolensville High,” said principal Dr. Bill Harlin. “She has a great attitude, and if she has difficulty with her classes, her teachers note that she will keep studying, reviewing or practicing until she masters the material.”
Although every student at Nolensville High is technically new to the school, Hope’s case is a little different. Before attending NHS, she was homeschooled, so the experience is entirely new to her.
“I’ve never gone to a public school before,” said Hope. “It’s so different for me, but I’ve always wanted to have really high grades, so I feel I have to always do my best.”
Outside of the classroom, Hope enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with family and friends and babysitting.
“I was really happy when I became old enough to start babysitting,” said Hope. “I’ve always liked kids which is why I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I want to specialize with either little kids or lower elementary students.”
Of course, to be a good teacher, Hope knows she must continue to be a good student.
“I want to do well in school,” said Hope. I want to go to college, and I want to have a good career, so I know I have to work really hard.”
