Published February 9, 2017

Twenty-one WCS high schools seniors are among the students selected as candidates for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars program is one of the highest achievements for any graduating high school senior. There are only 4,000 candidates selected from around the country. Students are selected based on academic and artistic achievements, leadership skills, community and school involvement and strong character.

The semifinalists will be selected in April. The finalists will be chosen in May, and they will be invited to Washington, D.C. for several days in June to attend the recognition ceremony.
