WCS Students Receive Arlene Peterson Memorial Scholarships

Four Williamson County students will help carry on the legacy of former WCS Vocational Director Arlene Peterson by receiving scholarships in her name.

The Rotary Club of Cool Springs presented its 14th annual Arlene Peterson Memorial Scholarships in Career and Technical Education on May 9. Peterson is remembered for implementing CTE programs at area high schools.

“We are so thankful the Cool Springs Rotary allows us an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of some fantastic CTE students and remember a great ambassador for Career and Technical Education, Arlene Peterson” said CTE Director Dr. David Allen. “We are extremely proud of our scholarship winners this year, and we look forward to hearing about the great things they will do in the future.”

This year’s recipients are:

  • Lillian Belle Howard – Page High School Health Sciences. Her teacher is Donna Guarnieri.
  • Ally Vaughn – Page High School Health Sciences. Her teacher is Donna Guarnieri.
  • Matthew Crispi – Summit High School Engineering Project Lead The Way. His teacher is Kris Schneider.
  • Austin Brotzman – Centennial High School Architecture, Engineering and Design. His teacher is Tim Sawyer.
