Former Fairview Elementary Principal Joan Tidwell is returning from retirement to serve as interim Principal at Clovercroft Elementary. Tidwell will replace Dr. Laura LaChance who resigned last month.

“I am so pleased that Joan has agreed to interrupt her retirement and help us during this time,” said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “Joan is an excellent educational leader, and I know the families at Clovercroft will welcome her with open arms.”

Tidwell began her teaching career in 1975 and has taught in Tennessee, South Dakota and Nebraska. She came to Williamson County as a teacher in 1991 and served as principal at Fairview Elementary for 11 years.

“This district has been so good to me throughout the years,” said Tidwell. “It feels good to help fill the need. I look forward to supporting the Clovercroft students, staff and community as they transition during this time.”

Tidwell will begin her new role December 8. She will serve until a permanent replacement for LaChance can be named.
