WCS Ambassador Launches Alumni Group

Published October 29, 2015

Former WCS Ambassadors have launched a new Alumni Group. The program kicked off October 27 at an event hosted by Williamson, Inc.

Paige Thompson, a member of 2015 Ambassador class and current Vice President of Relocation at Zeitlin came up with the idea as a way for alums of the Ambassador program to stay engaged with WCS and one another.

“The mission of the alumni group is to create opportunities of service and support for the WCS Ambassador alumni to extend their relationships with Williamson County Schools,” said WCS Development Director Dr. Deb Enright.

Those in attendance included Ambassadors from every class since the outreach program started. Some members of the new 2016 class also attended. Their program begins in January.

The alumni shared their experiences with the new members, telling them all about the joys of riding a school bus, going through the lunch lines and meeting the incredible teachers and students in every school they visited during their time in the program.

In April 2016, the alumni plan to get back onto school campuses during the WCS Ambassador Day of Service, helping wherever they’re needed to support the students, faculty and staff.
