Ventures Announces Road Map to Success Resource Event

A group that’s dedicated to helping students with disabilities make the transition from school to post-secondary will host a resource event Saturday, October 3 in Franklin.
Ventures is a collaboration among agencies – including Williamson County Schools – that address the needs of adolescents and young adults with disabilities in Williamson County.
Their Road Map to Success event will be held at Franklin High School on October 3 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Over 30 agencies serving the disability community will be present including Waves, Inc, The Arc Williamson County, Mercy Community Healthcare, Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation, Williamson County Schools, Work Force Essentials and Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
WCS Executive Director for Student Support Services Carol Hendlmyer will give the keynote address at 9 a.m. Workshop options will be available throughout the day from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on topics ranging from conservatorship to mental health.
