United Way Honors WCS Employees, Students

Numerous Williamson County students and staff are earning recognition for their contributions to the community. On April 28, The United Way of Williamson County held its annual Community and Volunteer Celebration Awards to recognize the people, companies and organizations who make the Williamson County community a better place.

Each year during the United Way’s annual fall campaign, district employees are asked to donate to United Way which helps to fund a number of programs that benefit Williamson County students

At the April 28 awards ceremony, Bethesda Elementary and Longview Elementary were recognized for being the top United Way grade level per capita givers for Williamson County Schools in the elementary school division. Woodland Middle was first among middle schools and Centennial High came in first among high schools.

In addition, the district won the Top Education Award and finished 11th in the United Way’s Top 25 Companies 2015 Campaign. Brentwood High School senior Caroline Enright won the Making A Difference Award and Page High School student Dalton Fulmer won the Outstanding Youth Award.
