Summer Internship Program
In addition, WCS students are being offered a unique opportunity to participate in a summer hospitality internship program. This is a short-term learning and employment opportunity for students who are interested in the field of hospitality and tourism. The summer internship will provide students an opportunity to explore the diversity of career opportunities in the industry while learning more about areas directly related to his or her career interest.
The major purpose of the internship learning experience is for the intern to receive broad instruction in workplace expectations; confirm, narrow or expand choices of career interest; develop an understanding of the connection between school-based theory and content and work-based applications; and increase awareness of the workplace, career opportunities and community resources. Participants are expected to provide their own transportation to both the training and work sites.
Application packets must be submitted by May 21. For additional information or to sign up for this exciting opportunity go to http://www.williamsonchamber.com/columbia-state-hospitality-tourism-internships/.
