State Champions Crowned at 2016 Spring Fling

Summer Break is off to a great start for the numerous WCS athletes who won state titles at this year’s Spring Fling Championships. The annual event was held May 23-27 in Murfreesboro and included competitions in the following sports: baseball, girls softball, soccer, tennis and track.

State Champions:

  • Boys Tennis, Singles, Class AAA: Sam Fischer, Brentwood High
  • Girls Tennis, Singles, Class AAA: Somer Henry, Brentwood High
  • Girls Tennis, Doubles, Class AAA: Georgia Fischer and Katie DeWald, Brentwood High

  • Boys Track and Field, Pole Vault, Class AAA: Jack Crouch, Centennial High
  • Boys Track and Field, 800 Meter Run, Class AAA: Jonathan Helton, Centennial High
  • Boys Track and Field, 1600 Meter Run, Class AAA: Brody Hasty, Brentwood High
  • Boys Track and Field, 4×800 Meter Relay, Class AAA: Max Benson, Scott Thompson, Chase Puskar and Ryan Lee, Brentwood High
