Public Review Now Available for Proposed CTE Textbooks

Williamson County residents are invited to review Career and Technical Education (CTE) textbooks being considered for adoption by Williamson County Schools and submit comments about those materials.

The textbook adoption for the 2016-17 school year is for CTE: Advanced Manufacturing; Information Technology; Human Services; Education & Training textbooks. These materials, which have been submitted and approved by the state of Tennessee for these areas, will be displayed at various locations throughout the district for educator and public input.

Evaluation forms are available at each review site. Completed forms should remain in the supplied folders and comments will be shared with the textbook committee members before the final vote at the end of February. The textbooks will be available at the sites listed below.

Central Office Tech Conference Room – Please check in at the front office.

  • January 13: 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
  • January 19: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • January 21: 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
  • January 25: 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • January 20: 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Brentwood High Library – Please check in at the front office.

  • Entire month of January, available anytime school is in session (7:20 a.m. until 2:27 p.m.)

Centennial High, Room 142 – Please check in at the front office.

  • January 14: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
  • January 15: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
  • January 19: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
  • January 21: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
  • January 26: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
  • January 28: 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Franklin High Library (books are located on the bookcase in the back of the library near the Grandfather clock) – Please check in at the front office.

  • January through mid-February when school lis in session: 7:25 a.m. until 2:32 p.m.

Independence High Guidance Office – Please check in at the front office.

  • January 6 through February 5: 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Ravenwood High Library – Please check in at the front office.

  • January 12: 3:45 p.m. until 5 p.m.
  • January 21: 3:45 p.m. until 5 p.m.
  • January 27: 3:45 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Summit High, Room C152 – Please check in at the front office.
