Photo Gallery of the Week: CHS and WMS Orchestra

Published November 6, 2015

On Monday, October 26, students from the Centennial High and Woodland Middle school orchestras had the opportunity to perform at the National Association for Music Educators National Conference (NAfME) in Nashville.

Before their performance, the students were visited by guest conductor Dr. Sandra Dackow, who is the current music director for the Hershey Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania. She rehearsed with the students before the convention later that afternoon.

The orchestra performed as a lab ensemble for nationally recognized clinicians’ workshops. The NAfME National Conference took place October 25-27 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Allison Cowan teaches strings at both Woodland Middle and Centennial High.
