Photo Gallery of the Week: BHS Sculpture Class

We are excited to announce the start of a new feature called the InFocus Photo Gallery of the Week. Each gallery will highlight a new school and include pictures of fun learning experiences happening through the district. This first gallery is of the Art 3: Honors 3-D/Sculpture class at Brentwood High.

Students started the year by making clay busts and clay figures. They are currently working on teapots using a sgraffito technique. In ceramics, sgraffito is produced by applying successive layers of contrasting slip, a liquefied suspension of clay particles in water, to the piece and then scratching the surface so as to produce a drawing or design.
