Language Interpreters Needed

Published September 11, 2015

If you can read and speak one of the languages below, we might be able to use your skills as an interpreter for non-English speaking families in Williamson County Schools.

Interpreters are contracted to facilitate communications between parents and school personnel at parent-teacher conferences, school wide events, special meetings, and so on. Face-to-face settings are the most common, so oral fluency in both languages is essential. Contracted interpreters are paid $25 per hour for in-school services. Typically, an interpreted session lasts between one and two hours.

If you are fluent in English and another language, please send a description and/or resume of your interpreting experiences to ESL Supervisor Joseph Whinery.

*Languages most often needing interpreters are:

  • Arabic
  • Chinese
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Spanish
