Help Us Feed Our COWs

Attention all Williamson County businesses and citizens:

Today, learning is different; teaching is different; testing is different; but technology remains essential.

We need YOU to help us feed our COWs!

What is a COW you may ask? COW stands for Computers On Wheels. A fully equipped COW includes 30 laptops and charging cables on a mobile cart which can easily be moved from one classroom to another. The goal is to provide one or more for each WCS elementary school, middle school and new Nolensville schools.

This will ensure increased access to technology for classroom learning and enable students to participate in the required state online testing pilot program by the spring of 2016.

Breakdown of Costs

  • Each Chromebook is $300
  • $1,700 for the cart on wheels
  • $10,000 for a cart with 30 laptops

One fully “fed” COW provides, at its optimum use, over 200 students per day and over 1,000 students per week with the learning tools; provides hundreds of WCS faculty with essential tools for teaching; and provides our students in third through eighth grade with critical practice time to prepare for required state testing.
