FHS Senior among U.S. Presidential Scholar Semifinalists

Published May 5, 2016

Franklin High School senior Rhett Britton is one of 15 students from Tennessee to be named a U.S. Presidential Scholar Semifinalist.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was established in 1964, by executive order of the President, to recognize and honor some of the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors.

This year’s semifinalists were selected from nearly 4,700 candidates. Scholars are chosen on the basis of superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities.
