Fairview Middle Librarian Wins Award

Fairview Middle School’s Annette Kuykendall is earning special recognition as one of the top school librarians in the state.
Kuykendall was named the winner of the Louise Meredith School Library Media Award. The Tennessee Library Association presents the award each year to a library media specialist who has made unique and worthy contributions to the total school instructional program.
According to the TLA, Kuykendall was chosen for her collaboration with teachers and facilitating a student-centered learning environment that fosters creativity and encourages critical thinking. The award is named after former Tennessee State Department of Education School Library Supervisor Louise Meredith.
