BHS Football, Cheer Participate in a Day of Fun with 1team1goal

Published October 15, 2015

Williamson County student athletes are continuing to spend their free time helping others and making new friends in the process.

The Brentwood High cheerleading and football teams joined forces with the Full Circle and 1team1goal programs on October 10 to build relationships, make new friends, play some football and learn new cheers. Nearly 43 BHS football players and 10 BHS cheerleaders were there to make the day fun and memorable for all participants.

Both Full Circle and 1Team1Goal are free programs for students with special needs.

“I think it’s important for our players to be able to give back to the community, to build relationships and to help us realize how fortunate we are to be able to fully participate in the sport of football,” said BHS head football coach Ron Crawford. “It was rewarding to see the smiles on so many faces that day.”

BHS cheerleading coach Mandy Biscak couldn’t agree more.

“We love participating in events like 1team1goal,” said Biscak. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to serve our community in a different capacity and it’s a lot of fun for everyone involved.”
