Artistic Talent in WCS is Recognized with the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Dozens of Williamson County Schools students are earning recognition for their artistic talents. The students are among this year’s recipients of the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
Established in 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s largest, longest-running, most prestigious visual and literary arts program symbolizing excellence and recognizing accomplishments of students in seventh through twelfth grades.
Awards given by the Scholastic Art & Writing awards include the American Vision Award, Gold Key Award, Silver Key Award and Honorable Mentions. The Gold Key recipients’ artwork will be displayed in Cheekwood’s exhibition Saturday, February 6 through Monday, March 7, and will be submitted to New York for national adjudication. National winners will be announced in March. The Silver Key winners art will be shown in a video at the Gold Key Exhibition.
