Published May 3, 2016
The Williamson County Board of Education met in special session Monday, May 2, 2016, and approved a four percent salary increase for school district employees for 2016-17. That brings the total budget to $322,539,913.
The budget must be approved by the Williamson County Commission at its July 11 meeting.
In other action, the Board heard from Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney who told the group that high school students would be taking the State mandated End of Course tests beginning May 9. The tests had been suspended last week when the State suspended the administration of Part II of TNReady testing in third through eighth grades.
The next regular meeting of the Williamson County Board of Education is scheduled for Monday, May 16, 2016, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Administrative Complex.
