Published April 22, 2015

The top volunteers of Williamson County Schools were honored April 21 at the annual Shining Apple Awards ceremony in Franklin. Honorees in each of the district’s 41 schools were recognized for their service to the students of Williamson County. The event was sponsored by the Williamson County Board of Education.

“Our volunteers spend hundreds of thousands of hours in our schools each year enriching the lives of our students; raising much needed funds for school and student programs; and supporting our teachers and staff,” said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “The Shining Apple ceremony is one way that we can let some of our volunteers know how much they are appreciated.”
