WCS Premieres Profile of Excellence
Published March 13, 2015
A new document profiling the success of Williamson County Schools is now available to future residents and Williamson County stakeholders.
Distribution of the Profile of Excellence, February 2015, began in early March and it’s posted on the district website. The six page document provides a snapshot of district operations along with student, staff and school successes. Comments from Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson, Williamson Inc. President and CEO Matt Largen and others are also included.
Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney said he wanted a document that School Board members and district staff could distribute during speaking engagements or other events.
“Staff discussed creating an annual report, but since school district data is released throughout the school year, the decision was made to use information from the 2013-14 school year and part of the 2014-15 school year to create the first Profile of Excellence,” said Looney. “In future years, the document will cover a year’s time from February to February. I hope the Williamson County community and future residents find this document useful.”
Franklin High Digital Arts and Design Teacher Melissa Estes worked with the Communications Department to create the Profile of Excellence.
