WCS students and staff have plenty to be proud of after scoring straight A’s in achievement on the 2014 State Report Card. The Tennessee Department of Education released the annual report October 30.

“The district’s report card affirms the fantastic work teachers, administrators, and support staff do on a daily basis,” said Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney. “I am pleased and proud of their work!”

The State Report Card provides a profile of each school district throughout the state, using performance on various standardized assessments and collected statistics to award grades. Below are some of the district highlights from the 2014 Report Card:

  • All A’s in 3-8 Academic Achievement
  • WCS increased each achievement score from last year
  • All A’s and one B in 4-8 Value Added Growth
