Fairview area schools had their time to shine March 26 when the WCS Ambassador Class of 2015 rolled into town.
The ambassadors began their day at Fairview Middle where they toured the school’s new performing arts center and participated in several theater activities. From there, they were led by the marching band to Fairview High where they saw a combined middle and high school band performance and watched the JROTC perform. The last stop of the day was Fairview Elementary where the ambassadors took part in a variety of learning experiences that involved everything from rope-climbing to math equations.
Ambassadors also met with principals from the four Fairview area schools to learn about the culture of the Fairview cluster.
Williamson County Schools kicked off the third year of its Ambassador Program January 22. Community leaders from industry, non-profits and government have signed on to participate in this comprehensive five-month program.
The first meeting featured a trip to Centennial High School where ambassadors visited classrooms and spoke to students and teachers. The ambassadors will continue to meet on a monthly basis.
