Students Showcase Math Skills at Mini Mu Competition

Over 275 students participated in the Middle School Mini Mu Math Competition. The event, which was sponsored by the BHS Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, took place January 31 at Brentwood High School. The honor society members wrote tests, proctored them, graded them and presented awards to the top students. Students participated in three levels of tests: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry.

Each student took two tests, which were themed around super heroes like Superman, Thor, The Incredibles, Iron Man, X-Men and The Avengers. At the end of the day, the top 15 students in Pre-Algebra and the top 10 students in Algebra 1 and Geometry were recognized with awards. Below are the lists of the top students who were recognized for each test.
