Williamson County Schools has an important message it would like to share with community members.

On April 29, the district was alerted that a publishing company representative has been misrepresenting himself to businesses in our area.

“School District Publishing” selling the “Tennessee High Schools Football Preview: Williamson County Schools District Section” does not have the authority or the permission of Williamson County Schools to solicit donations, or to sell or market products in the name of or on behalf of the District.

In a separate case, the district received a report April 23 of a man representing himself as “Jack Mallard” who was going door-to-door selling banners “for schools in our area.” He claimed the schools could then sell the banners and raise money. There is no Jack Mallard representing any Williamson County school.

We appreciate the support we received from our business community and want to make sure their donations are actually received by the school of their choice.

If you have questions about any solicitation you receive, please give your principal or local law enforcement a call. Each principal is aware of fundraisers that are being conducted on behalf of a particular school.
