FHS Wrestling Team Volunteers at Walnut Grove

The Franklin High School wrestling team recently volunteered at Walnut Grove Elementary School, helping administrators and teachers get ready for the first day of school. The team moved furniture and textbooks to various classrooms, in addition to other tasks.

“This is the third year that this team has been involved with this particular community service event,” said Franklin High Wrestling Coach Frank Barbrie. “I am very proud of my wrestlers – not only are they a great group of hard working men, but I feel that by helping Walnut Grove Elementary it is a win-win for the both of us. The administrators get their school prepared for the incoming elementary students and teachers, and my wrestlers get a great physical workout along with building team bonds early in the season.”
