In May, Williamson County Schools concluded the first year of its new Successory program, which gives students a chance to say thank you to the school employees who are helping them become a success.
Simply stated, the program was a massive hit. Over the course of the year, the district received hundreds of Successory stories from schools across the county.
“We were blown away by the number of students who participated in this program,” said WCS Assistant Communications Director Cory Mason. “Not only does it show just how amazing our teachers and staff are, but it also speaks to the character of our fabulous students that they understand the importance of saying thank you.”
The program would not have been possible had it not been for the generosity of Chick-fil-A South Franklin which donated a total of 328 free meals throughout the course of the school year to the winning employees from each school.
“We understand the hard work teachers put into loving, guiding and teaching children,” said Chick-fil-A South Franklin Marketing Director Terri Killion. “The influence of a good teacher can never be erased and being a positive influence on our community is a priority for us.”
Based on the success of the program, WCS plans to continue it in the fall. Dates will be announced as we approach the start of the school.
And to all of the parents, students and staff who helped the program get off to a great start in its first year…
Thank You!
