Academic All-Star – Lipscomb Elementary

Published December 12, 2014

Lipscomb Elementary School fifth grader Carson Fanfan is a hard-working student with a positive-attitude about school and life.

So it’s easy to see why his teachers and administrators selected him as the school’s 2014-15 Academic All-Star.

“Carson is always ready to do his best and do it with a smile,” said Lipscomb Reading Coach Kim Hudson. “He is a role model for his peers and the other students at Lipscomb. Carson’s teachers can count on him to be responsible and trustworthy.”

Like most boys his age, Carson enjoys playing video games, reading books and hanging out with friends. He says his favorite subject is math, although he likes recess and art as well.

When he grows up, Carson wants to be a car salesman or a restoration mechanic. It’s a goal he knows he can achieve if he continues to work hard.

“I want to do well in school,” said Carson. “If I do well, then I can go to college and learn everything I need to know to get a good job and live my life.”

Carson’s teachers say he already possesses the kind of traits that will take him far in life.

“One important quality that Carson shows is perseverance,” said Hudson. “The progress that Carson has made and continues to make is due to his positive and determined attitude. This young man will continue to succeed in school and beyond.”
