Academic All-Star – Grassland Elementary

The Academic All-Star award is given to students who exhibit a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence in the classroom. Each Academic All-Star is chosen by his or her principal and receives a certificate, a $10 gift card to Sonic Drive-In and a free gift courtesy of Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More in Franklin.

January 15, 2015, is a day Ella Hoffer will not soon forget. That’s the day Ella learned she had been named the school’s Academic All-Star.

The announcement took place during a surprise ceremony that included Ella’s father, grandparents, teachers and principal.

“I’m proud to select Ella as the Grassland Elementary Academic All-Star for 2014-15,” said GES Principal Dr. Ann Gordon. “Ella has the gift to brighten your day with a positive attitude and a warm smile. She is always eager to learn and work hard. She personifies an Academic All-Star!”

Ella’s teachers say she has made incredible progress during her time at Grassland Elementary. It’s the kind of improvement that fills a father’s heart with pride.

“We’re so proud of her,” said Ella’s father, Jeffrey. “She’s come a long way. This really is a top-notch school.”
