Academic All-Star – Clovercroft Elementary

Published December 12, 2014

Eleven-year-old Blake Hampton is the kind of student who always strives to do his best and treats everyone around him with respect.

That’s why administrators and teachers selected Blake as the 2014-15 Academic All-Star for Clovercroft Elementary School.

“Blake is an all-around great kid,” said fifth grade teacher Anne-Walker Brown. “He shows commitment to his work and takes ownership for his learning. Blake is always prepared for class and positively participates within the learning environment. He’s involved in school activities such as student council and is always willing to lend a helping hand in the classroom.”

Blake says he loves the teachers at Clovercroft because they’re good at what they do and they care about their students. When he’s not working on his schoolwork, Blake likes to play sports like baseball and basketball. He also enjoys reading and playing video games.

Next year, Blake will move on to Page Middle where he’s excited to make new friends and continue his education.

“I want to do well in school,” said Blake. “My parents are always telling me if I get bad grades it might affect me later on in life.”
