WCS Teams Win State Titles

Several Williamson County athletic teams were recently crowned state champs. The Brentwood High School boys cross country team won the TSSAA - AAA cross country championship November 2, and the Brentwood High School volleyball team won its ninth state volleyball championship October 25.
For the Lady Bruins volleyball team, the victory over Ravenwood in the finals gave them their first state title since 2007. In fact, Brentwood's only four losses of the season were to three-time defending state champ Ravenwood. They are coached by Barbara Campbell, Theresa Ashcraft and Angie Noble.
Speaking of three-peats, the Brentwood High School boys cross country team managed one of its own by winning the AAA team competition at Steeplechase. BHS finished the contest with 49 points. Additionally, Brentwood runners Alec Thomas, Taylor Caldwell and Coleman Churitch received All-State honors. They are coached by Derek Youel.
