WCS Students Compete in Little League World Series

Five Williamson County students are taking time off from school to live out every kid's fantasy. They are among the players competing at this year's Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The students are part of the South Nashville All-Stars team that recently won the Southeast Regional Tournament.

The team's 12-man roster includes WCS students Robert Hassell, Chris McElvain, Trae McClemore, Blake Money and Zane Denton. The team lost its opening round game to Connecticut August 15 by a score of 3-2. They will play Corpus Christi, Texas in the first elimination game of the United States bracket on Saturday at 2 p.m. on ABC.

The Little League World Series is a 10-day event which will culminate with the championship game Sunday, August 25.
