Page High School Principal Dr. Andrea Anthony was among administrators from across the nation who were recently honored at the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) Institute and Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C.
Anthony was selected in May as the NASSP Principal of the Year for Tennessee. The program honors secondary school principals who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students as well as demonstrating exemplary contributions to the profession.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized as the NASSP Principal of the Year for Tennessee,” said Anthony. “It is also a privilege to work where we have exemplary programming that maximizes each student’s development; effective teachers who are experts in their areas; and excellent partnerships with parents and community members who support and promote our school’s goals.”
Dr. Anthony has served as the principal at Page High School for the past 10 years. In 2013, Page High was named a Reward School for Performance and Progress by the Tennessee Department of Education.
