WCS Employees, Students Recognized by United Way

Williamson County Schools played a big role in raising money for this year's United Way campaign. Each year during its annual fall campaign, district employees are asked to donate to United Way which helps to fund a number of programs that benefit Williamson County students.
The following schools were the top United Way grade level per capita givers for Williamson County Schools: Bethesda Elementary, Woodland Middle and Centennial High.
In addition, seven schools had 100 percent employee participation. They are Grassland Elementary, Kenrose Elementary, Longview Elementary, Pearre Creek Elementary, Fairview Middle, Woodland Middle and the Alternatie Learning Center.
“We want to thank United Way for the opportunity to give," said Connie Jones, WCS office manager and recipient of the United Way's Bill King Award. "Of course, we also want to thank Williamson County Schools staff for their willingness to give to this great cause.”
On February 19, the United Way of Williamson County held its annual Community Support and Volunteer Recognition Celebration to recognize the people, companies and organizations who make the Williamson County community a better place. Below are photos of this year's Williamson County winners:
