Walk Across Williamson Winners Announced

Published April 25, 2014

More than 6,600 WCS parents, students and staff members made an effort to improve their health this year by participating in the Williamson County Health Council's Walk Across Williamson challenge. Participants logged an astounding 13 million minutes of physical activity during the month of March, which more than doubled last year's total.

Thirty-four schools competed for Coordinated School Health mini-grants ranging from $225-$2,000. These grants will go to support each school’s health plan goals. The winners were announced April 12 during a celebration event at Pinkerton Park in Franklin.
