School Board Approves Budget for 2014-15 School Year

The Williamson County Board of Education adopted budgets for the 2014-15 school year during its regular monthly meeting March 24. The Board approved a General Purpose School Fund Budget of $273,014,314; a Central Cafeteria Fund Budget of $11,336,766; an Extended School Program Budget of $3,235,366; and a Capital Outlay request of $13,273,737.
The budgets will be reviewed by the Williamson County Commission Budget and Education committees before being presented to the full County Commission at its July 14 meeting. Below is the remaining timeline for the budget process.
- Tuesday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. Joint County Commission Education/Budget Committee Meeting. This meeting will be held in the Administrative Complex Auditorium.
- Monday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. County Commission Education Committee Meeting (Second Review) of the 2014-15 Budget. This meeting will be held in the Executive Complex Room.
- Thursday, May 1 at 5:30 p.m. County Commission Budget Committee Meeting (Second Review) of the 2014-15 Budget. This meeting will be held in the Administrative Complex Auditorium.
- Tuesday, June 17 at 5:30 p.m. Public hearing of WCS and other county department budgets. This meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Williamson County Government Administrative Complex.
- Monday, July 14 at 9 a.m. County Commission meets to approve all budgets including WCS budget. This meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Williamson County Government Administrative Complex.
