Independence and Centennial Battle Breast Cancer
Published October 4, 2013
The Independence High School and Centennial High School DECA chapters are competing to raise money to help find a cure for breast cancer. Independence is hosting a Pink Out football game against Centennial on Thursday, October 10.
Both DECA chapters are selling pink tee shirts and donating the profits to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The shirts can be purchased in the Independence High School bookstore during lunch for $15 each. The game will start at 7 p.m. and the IHS DECA team will be selling pink tees and baked goods at the main gate.
The schools will accept other donations as well. Businesses that donate money to the cause will be announced during halftime.
